Nevada County Sheriff's Office are investigating a deadly shooting that happened Saturday in Nevada City.
Deputies responded to a 911 call around noon, reporting a shooting in the area of Yellow Pine Lane off Graniteville Road in a remote area of Nevada City.
When they arrived on scene the found a man in his 40's dead.
According to the sheriff's office there are no suspects in custody, and the identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

In a post on Facebook, the agency said the shooting happened on Yellow Pine Lane in the Graniteville Road area just after noon Saturday.
One person was found dead at the scene when deputies arrived. Detectives are getting assistance from the Department of Justice.
According to the Sheriff's Office, "This is an active, ongoing investigation and we will provide further details when available."
