The Nevada Department of Corrections says an inmate died this week at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City.
Authorities say 49-year-old Daniel R. Stenner died Tuesday at the Regional Medical Facility inside the correctional center.
Stenner was committed from Washoe County on October 2, 1996 and was serving a sentence for sexual assault, use of a deadly weapon and lewdness with a child under 14.
An autopsy is being scheduled to determine the cause of death.
Family members were notified.Â
