The Nevada Museum of Art is offering some unique deals this Black Friday weekend,
"The museum shop is one of the best places in Reno to get items you're not going to find anywhere else," said Amanda Horn, Senior Vice President of Communications. "Our shop manager has done an extraordinary job of finding local, regional artists and artisans beyond the area to provide truly unique jewelry, scarves and items you won't find anywhere else."
The museum has already been operating at 25% capacity, and there's a Victorian theme in the shop right now, as well as an online book club, in preparation for an upcoming show based on that period.
"It's called 'Victorian Radicals: From the Pre-Raphaelites to the Arts & Crafts Movement,'" Horn said. "This is an extraordinary exhibition, about 145 artworks, most which have never been shown outside of the United Kingdom."
Everything in the shop is available online, and there's a gift membership package for art lovers.
"Members get in free, we have a Member Tuesday, most of the online programs are free for members," Horn said. "When you're a member of the Nevada Museum of Art, you support the great exhibitions and the work we do through art and art education all year long. So it's really a great way to give the gift that keeps on giving."
Black Friday Specials run from Friday, Nov. 27 through Sunday, Nov. 29, and the museum will remain at 25% capacity. Visitors are advised to but advance tickets online.
