Heavenly Mountain Resort pushed up its opening date to Monday due to high snowfall.
Over the past week, with over 20 inches of snow and cold temperatures, Heavenly has been able to make enough snow to open.
Starting Monday, the resort will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for skiing and riding.
In addition to skiing and riding, the Heavenly Gondola is open in the Village for sightseeing, and the Ridge Rider Mountain Coaster located at the top of the Gondola will operate as conditions permit. Â
This year marks Heavenly's 70th anniversary and they say that there will multiple events this season to celebrate.
