Carson City voters will soon get new mailed ballots after an error was printed on previous ballots. 

In the federal race for Congress District 2, Lynn Chapman was initially listed as part of the Democratic Party. In reality, Chapman is part of the Independent American Party, or IAP.

While this doesn't necessarily prevent anyone from voting for Chapman, the incorrect labeling may sway some voters, depending on how they vote.

Every voter will receive a new ballot, listing the correct party affiliation, which will be mailed the week of October 14th. 

If you live in Carson City and choose to vote in-person instead, early voting will start October 19 through November 1.
