A day after northern Nevada saw its first significant snowfall of the winter, chain controls remained in place on some area roads.
Controls are in place on I-580 from Mt. Rose Highway to its intersection with U.S. 395 Alternate just past Washoe City.
Chain controls are also in place on U.S. 395 Alternate from Mt. Rose Highway to I-580 just south of Washoe Lake.
Mt. Rose Highway has chain controls from Sunridge Drive to mile marker 10.
Chain controls are in place on Geiger Grade Road from just past Veterans Parkway to Virginia City, and from the Fourth Ward School Museum in Virginia City to SR-342.
SR-342 has chain controls in place from Virginia City to U.S. 50, while U.S. 50 has controls in place from Dayton to Arrowhead Drive.
There are also chain controls on U.S. 50 from U.S. 395 to the state line.
There are also chain controls on SR-28 from U.S. 50 to the Secret Harbor Chain Up Area.
