Dozens took to the streets in downtown Reno for “Cupid’s Undie Run” to raise money and awareness for neurofibromatosis, or NF.

A large group gathered at Cypress in downtown Reno to run in just their underwear to bring attention to the condition.

A husband and wife are in charge of the event, and their son was diagnosed with NF at just six years old.

The condition is rare. It causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body. It affects one out of every 2,000 people, which is about four million people a year.

The couple tells us they’ve raised tens of thousands of dollars for research, and they did it in an awesome way.

There was a large get together with a bar and dance floor as well as a professional DJ.

After the dance party, the group ran about a mile around downtown Reno, all while cheering and wearing vibrant outfits.

One person raised over $6,000 all on their own, and the winning group raised over $30,000 for the cause.
