On Monday morning, Nevada State Troopers stopped an RV on I-80 and found illegal firearms devices they said had the potential to be dangerous.

State Troopers, with help from the Consolidated Bomb Squad, neutralized the possible threat and secured the area.

The driver of the RV, Kirkland Orlando Rowe, has been taken into custody.

His charges, according to the Washoe County Sheriff's Office, include impeding traffic by driving too slowly, being in possession of illegal firearms, and being in possession of a "hoax bomb". 

All lanes of traffic are back open to drivers traveling through the area.

A portion of I-80 east near USA Parkway is currently closed due to police activity in that area. 

Several law enforcement agencies including the bomb squad and Nevada State Police responded to an RV sometime on Monday morning.

Our crew on scene saw responding agencies searching through bags believed to be from the RV.
