A wildfire burning south of Wendover in eastern Nevada is still expected to be fully contained by July 18th.

The Forest Service says the 1,966-acre Goshute Fire started June 25th west of U.S. Highway 93 Alternate.

It's 85% contained and burning in steep, rugged and inaccessible terrain.

The initial cause of the fire was believed to have been caused from a lightning strike but has since been changed to undetermined.Â
