Authorities say they've recovered the body of a man who disappeared in Donner Lake Sunday afternoon.
Truckee Police say 36-year-old Juan Carlos Garcia-Guitierrez of Lancaster initially jumped into the water from a pontoon boat to swim in the lake, just before 4:45 p.m.Â
Once in the water, wind conditions caused the boat to drift away, and he ultimately was unable to reach the boat.
Police say he was not wearing a personal flotation device at the time.

Truckee Police say emergency personnel were called to Donner Lake Sunday afternoon after reports about a man who jumped in the water from a boat and did not resurface.
Truckee Police, Nevada County Sheriff’s Office, California State Parks, and Truckee Fire Protection District all responded.
The search has ended for the night, but Truckee Police say the search will resume Monday morning.
The man's identity has not been released.
The boat ramp area of Donner Lake is closed and will remain closed until the search is complete.
