A car slammed into the front of the Regional Public Safety Training Center early Thursday, ending with one man in custody for suspected DUI.
At approximately 2:05 a.m. on September 11, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a single-car crash at the Regional Public Safety Training Center on Spectrum Blvd in Reno.
Deputies found that a car had gone off the roadway, driven through several large bushes, hit a small tree, and come to rest against the bricks at the front of the building.
No airbags were deployed. Two men were inside the car at the time.
Following an on-scene investigation, deputies identified the driver as 34-year-old Reno resident Simon Perez.
Perez was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.  He was taken to the hospital for medical clearance and evidentiary testing. No injuries were reported.
Perez was booked on charges of driving under the influence (1st offense) alcohol and destruction of property.Â
