Catholic Charities of Nevada is spreading Easter joy by giving away 1,400 Easter baskets to children in need.
The 'Operation Easter Basket Pick-up' initiative aims to bring smiles and celebrate the season by providing essential items, treats, and toys to local families facing financial challenges.
This giveaway highlights the organization's commitment to supporting the community and ensuring every child experiences the spirit of Easter.
Parents pick-up age-appropriate baskets prior to the holiday, which are put together by volunteers, thanks to the generiousty of the community.
This year, 1,400 Easter baskets will be given out to parents who registered their children.
The Easter basket pickup will happen on Friday, April 11, and Saturday, April 12, at St. Vincent's Food Pantry, located at 500 East Fourth Street in Reno.
This is not a family or walk-up event, only parents will be able to pick up Easter baskets for their youngsters who have already registered.
The baskets will be distributed with the help of University of Nevada Reno volunteers and public health interns.
With a minimum value of $25, each basket contains toys, clothes, toiletries, books, gift cards, and delicacies that are suitable for the recipients' age and gender.
