The Nevada Department of Transportation is launching the next phase of construction to widen and improve U.S. 395 in the North Valleys.
Beginning July 13, phase two will continue highway improvements northward to widen and improve 395 between Golden Valley Road and Stead Boulevard.
NDOT says drivers should expect the following:
- Periodic lane shifts throughout construction.
- Overnight highway lane reductions, with U.S. 395 reduced to one lane in each direction 8 p.m. - 5 a.m.
- Intermittent ramp closures 8 p.m. - 5 a.m. Detour routes will be marked.
- Speeds will be reduced to 55mph 24/7 through the work zone.
- Lanes periodically reduced on Lemmon Drive and Golden Valley Road underneath U.S. 395
- For brief and limited phases of construction, there will be closures of Lemmon Drive and Golden Valley Road underneath U.S. 395 during overnight and weekend hours. Only one interchange will be closed at a time.
- Construction schedule is subject to change.
Next year, NDOT will launch a separate project to improve North Virginia Street between McCarran Boulevard and Panther Valley.
