Elko County deputies are investigating a shooting that injured one man in Spring Creek on Tuesday night. 
 
Deputies responded to a 911 call near Birchwood Drive off of Lower Lamoille Road around 9:30 p.m. where they found a man with a gunshot wound and a second man who cooperated with law enforcement. 
 
Authorities say a preliminary investigation shows that the two men got into an argument when one man pulled out a gun and shot the unidentified victim. 
 
They say alcohol was involved in the incident. 
 
The victim, a 27 year-old man from Winnemucca, was transported to a hospital in Salt Lake City. 
 
They say no arrests have been made, and the case remains under active investigation by detectives from the Elko County Sheriff’s Office.
