A man has been arrested in connection with a stolen 1955 Ford truck from a home in Virginia City.

According to the Storey County Sheriff’s Office in an online Facebook post, on October 24th, Wayne Wofford was taken into custody by Lyon County Sheriff’s Deputies for possession of a stolen vehicle, stolen out of Storey County.

During the ongoing investigation, Storey County Sheriff’s Office Detectives developed probable cause and requested an arrest warrant for Wofford for the theft of the truck.

The Virginia Township Justice Court issued an arrest warrant for Wofford for two felony counts of grand larceny of a motor vehicle and one felony count of residential burglary.

On October 30th at 2:21 p.m., Wofford was located in Storey County during a traffic stop and taken into custody for the arrest warrant and unrelated traffic charges.

Wofford was booked into the Storey County Detention Facility with a total bail of $45,115.

The post does not refer to the status of the stolen quad.

The Storey County Sheriff's Office is looking for a 1955 Ford truck that was allegedly stolen sometime between October 4 and October 11.

Officials say the truck and a red 2020 Polaris quad were taken from a home on Q Street in Virginia City.

The truck has Nevada plates, with the number 536Z59.
