UPDATE - September 11:

The Nevada State Police Highway Patrol has identified the man who died in a single-car crash earlier this month on Wildes Road near Crook Road in Fallon.

65-year-old Robert Riehm, from Fallon, was killed in the September 3rd crash, which occurred around 3:50 p.m.

Preliminary investigations determined that Riehm was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Impala westbound on Wildes Road when he attempted to pass another car. His car entered the eastbound lane, then veered onto the south shoulder before striking a power pole and overturning.

Riehm, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the car and later pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The crash prompted the closure of Wildes Road in both directions between Testolin Road and Pasture Road for several hours on the evening of September 3.

The Nevada Highway Patrol Northern Command Major Incident Reconstruction Team continues to investigate the crash.

This is a developing story, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
