Motorcycle crash with NSP badge

A 34-year-old motorcycle rider is dead after a crash on SR 290 northeast of Winnemucca. 

Nevada State Police say the crash happened near mile marker 15, about 37 miles northeast of Winnemucca just before 4 p.m. on June 16th.

NSP says a preliminary investigation shows that a Harley-Davidson was heading north on SR 290 when the driver missed a curve, went into the opposite lane, and then slid off the roadway into the dirt. 

The driver, Samual Huber of Battle Mountain, was thrown from the motorcycle and later died. 

The investigation is ongoing.
