Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe is accepting online applications for full-time and part-time seasonal positions ahead of the 2026-27 winter season, including jobs that do not require employees to ski or snowboard.
Open positions include lift operations, snow tubing, ticket sales, parking, food service, and ski and snowboard school. Weekend and holiday work is available.
“We’re looking for people who want to work hard, have fun, and deliver high-quality guest experiences all season long,” said Mike Pierce, Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe marketing director. “Working in the ski industry and in a mountain environment like Mt. Rose offers incredible perks that go far beyond competitive wages. This is a fun work atmosphere that is likely to be one of the most fun jobs—or careers—anyone can have.”
Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe's self-imposed average starting wage is $16 an hour for employees in nearly all departments. Most entry-level positions pay $4 above the $12-per-hour minimum wage mandated in Washoe County.
Pay is one of several benefits available to employees. Staff receive free skiing and snowboarding throughout the season, while full-time staff also receive a guest pass. Employees can also receive free lessons and equipment rentals, along with discounts on retail items and food at Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe.
Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe also offers affordable lodging and carpool opportunities to employees. The resort says it has one of the longest seasons in the region and convenient access from Reno and North Lake Tahoe.
Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe is 25 minutes from Reno. The resort has Lake Tahoe's highest base elevation at 8,260 feet and 1,200 acres of terrain. Its Chutes feature 1,500 vertical feet of north- and east-facing extreme terrain, including 40- to 55-degree runs extending more than 1,000 feet.
Wildslide Tahoe is also part of the Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe experience, with the largest snow tubing park located three-quarters of a mile west of the main lodge.
Applications for open positions are available online at skirose.com.
