UPDATE - APRIL 10:
Reno police have released new details following an armed robbery investigation at a Harvard Way apartment complex.
On April 9 at 3 p.m., Reno Police officers responded to an apartment complex on Harvard Way on a report of an armed robbery involving a gun.
When officers arrived, four alleged suspects exited an apartment with one person carrying a safe. Upon seeing officers, the person with the safe threw it aside and said it was not his. Four people were detained in connection with the investigation.
Police said the victim had been invited to the apartment to hang out with the suspects when a fight started, and a gun was pointed at the victim. The suspects then took the victim’s phone and iPad. The victim left the apartment and had a neighbor call 911.
Inside the safe, officers found a 9mm handgun, 514 yellow Xanax bars, 7.17 grams of fentanyl, and a small amount of methamphetamine.
Three of the four people who came out of the apartment were arrested.
The fourth person, Isaih Kizziah, was released and told to leave the area. Officers then obtained a search warrant for the apartment.
During the search, officers found three bottles of promethazine with codeine, scales, and other items indicative of drug sales. Officers forced entry into a safe and located the victim’s iPad and iPhone, numerous prescription pills, 41.06 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, ammunition, and $3,724 in cash.
Isaih Kizziah later returned to the scene and claimed the safe in the bedroom was his. He was then arrested for possession of a controlled substance (two counts), possession of a controlled substance for sale, and robbery with a deadly weapon.
Arrested were 19-year-old Rider Mackenzie, 20-year-old-year-old Robert Oliver, 22-year-old Isaih Kizziah, and a 17-year-old male child.
