The Lyon County Sheriff's Office has identified a person in connection with the shooting on Wednesday.
Resident of Fernley, 35-year-old Cameron Bryce Kessler is the alleged shooter from the scene.
Kessler was booked into the Lyon County Jail for the following charges of attempted murder, battery with a deadly weapon, and discharging a firearm in public.
Authorities say Kessler's bail has been set at $80,640.
No motive was discovered, and the investigation is ongoing.
The victim is still in the hospital, but in critical condition at this time, according to authorities.

ORIGINAL STORY
A man was hospitalized after a shooting outside a Fernley ice cream shop on Wednesday night.
It happened in the parking lot in front of Steve’s Homemade Ice Cream at the Fernley Village Marketplace just before 6:50 p.m., according to a release from the Lyon County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded and found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Personnel from the North Lyon Fire Protection District arrived and immediately began providing medical care to the victim, who was then taken to Renown Regional Medical Center by CareFlight, according to the release.
A suspect in the shooting was identified, detained, and later placed under arrest.
There is no current threat to the public, the Sheriff's Office says.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division will be conducting the ongoing investigation.
