The Reno Housing Authority (RHA) has opened waitlists for several sites.

The waitlists are open until further notice.

* All Public Housing sites

* Project Based Assistance

* Silverada Manor Project Based Assistance

* Pilgrims Rest Project Based Assistance for 62 years and older only

* Housing choice voucher waitlists are not open at this time

For programs and site descriptions or to apply, visit RenoHA.org.

Applicants may also apply via RHA’s Kiosks located at the Downtown Library, 301 S. Center St., Reno, RHA’s main office, 1525 E. 9th Street, Reno, or at RHA’s Resident Services, 440 Reno Ave., Reno.

“This notice of waitlists being opened without an exact closing date represents a new strategy for RHA. Our goal is to provide accessibility to those in need of affordable housing as well as modernizing how we manage the list,” said Hilary Lopez, Ph.D., executive director for Reno Housing Authority. “We are always looking for opportunities to ease the burden on those we serve.”

Submitting an application will not house someone tomorrow but it is the first step in the process to obtain permanent affordable housing for low-income households. All who are interested are encouraged to apply for the programs that best fit their needs and, for several waitlists.

Upon application receipt, staff will determine eligibility for specific waitlists.

RHA offers language assistance, including interpretation and translation services, to applicants who are limited English proficient. Additionally, if you are a person with a disability who requires special accommodation in order to have equal access to RHA’s programs, call 775-329-3630, come to our office, or notify us in the manner most convenient for you.
