The Reno Police Department issued 87 tickets, 29 warnings and made one felony arrest as part of a pedestrian and school zone safety operation last month.

The operation happened in designated pedestrian safety zones in the downtown area and in school zones selected based on input from citizens about unsafe driving in those zones.

Officers focused their efforts on drivers and pedestrians who were violating those laws that enhance pedestrian safety, according to a release from the Reno Police Department.

The operation was carried out with the help of a grant from the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety and ran from November 6th through the 26th.
