The Sierra Nevada Lavender and Honey Festival is taking place again this year on Sunday, July 13 at Idlewild Park.

Attendees can celebrate all things lavender and honey at the fest, including themed foods, arts and crafts, music and even a signature beer.

The festival takes place from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Idlewild Park, and is free to the public.

This year features the return of the Lavender Advice Booth, hosted by the Great Basin Lavender Association. At this booth, you can ask experts how to grow lavender in our high desert atmosphere.

Entertainment will be provided by Bruka Theatre, a honey-tasting booth is being hosted by Northern Nevada Beekeepers and a bike valet will be provided by Kiwanis of Downtown Sparks.

No pets are allowed at the event, except for service animals.
