Update, June 10:

According to the Placer County Sheriff's Office, the boat on fire was near Cedar Flat.

The US Coast Guard rescued six people from the boat with no major injuries.

When deputies arrived, the boat was already engulfed in flames. 

Deputies and two North Tahoe Firefighters set up the de-watering pump as a hose and started spraying the boat with water.

A fire boat crew from the North Lake Tahoe Fire Department also arrived and helped.

After the fire was put out, the boat's hull was damaged, and the boat sank.

The fire is currently under investigation.

Original Story, June 9:

A boat is on fire in Lake Tahoe.

The boat is located near Carnelian Bay.

According to the US Coast Guard, six people were rescued from the boat, with help from a good Samaritan. 

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
