The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to two separate fatal ski incidents at Heavenly’s Boulder Lodge late Friday morning.
They happened around 11:55 a.m., according to a post on the DCSO Facebook page.
Life-saving measures were taken by Heavenly Ski Patrol, which took both victims to the base area. Both people were pronounced dead at the scene.
The incidents are not connected, and there is no known relationship between those who died.
The cause and manner of death are pending, and the victims will be identified after the next of kin are notified.
The investigation into the incidents remains ongoing.
