A small brush fire that broke out early Monday morning near Verdi is currently under investigation. 

Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue says the fire broke out around 8 a.m. on the Nevada-California border, on the south side of the river. 

Fire crews say no injuries were reported and no damage was reported.Â
