CAMPAIGN 2024: With just 100 days left until Nevada's Presidential Preference Primary, the Nevada Democratic party is taking measures to reach as many voters as possible. It was after all the Democrat-controlled legislature in 2021 that moved the state to the primary process.

NV Dems is launching an extensive education campaign to ensure that voters are well-informed about the new process. Voters will be given the opportunity to cast their ballots by mail, participate in nearly two weeks of early voting, and, of course, vote on primary day.

To oversee outreach efforts in critical communities, the state party has appointed a Diverse Affirmative Action Committee.

With its majority-minority status, Nevada is the third most diverse state in the country and the most diverse battleground state. This makes Nevada's electorate reflective of the democratic party and entire nation as a whole.

"We're lucky as a state to be in the national conversation about the future of our country. This gives us an opportunity to say hey this is what Nevadans care about, and I think Nevadans represent the majority of the country. Given our diversity, as I mentioned before, we're a diverse state from a geographical perspective, from a workforce perspective, from an ethnicity perspective, but also two from an environmental perspective. Our issues and our challenges effect everybody," said (D-NV) Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar.

Nevada holds a crucial position in the Democratic presidential nominating process as it is now the second state to vote. The state has historically carried every Democratic presidential candidate to victory since 2008. This highlights the importance of Nevada's electorate in shaping the outcome of the presidential race.
