NV Energy is projecting lower energy prices for their customers this year.
This is according to a general rate review filed last week.
In a release, the utility company says average customer bills are projected to be 10% less by the end of this year compared to 2023.
NV Energy is requesting a change to the basic service charge which would move it from a variable charge to a fixed one.
The company says that the change will help stabilize customer bills.
“We want our customers to know we recognize that energy costs have gone up over the past eighteen months, and we are pleased to be able to tell our customers energy costs are coming down in 2024, and that NV Energy is working hard to deliver solutions that help stabilize customer rates throughout the year," said NV Energy President and CEO Doug Cannon in a statement.
