I have spent my professional life building partnerships, bringing people together, and organizing, developing and leading both large and small teams, and managing multi-million-dollar budgets. I have made it my mission to lead with integrity and passion for the best outcomes for the agencies, community stakeholders, citizens, and the employees. Utilizing these skills, I will maximize efficiencies, individual empowerment, and fiscal responsibility. 

WHAT IS YOUR TOP PRIORITY IF ELECTED?

My top priority is to review current policies and procedures to ensure the office is providing the best customer service and thorough review and verification of the minutes from County Commission meetings and other departments. 

IN JUST A FEW SENTENCES: WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE IS THE BIGGEST PROBLEM FACING WASHOE COUNTY, AND HOW WOULD YOU FIX IT?

One of the biggest problems facing Washoe County is growth and budget management. We need to ensure development includes the creation of the necessary infrastructure and that infrastructure is completed in conjunction with the actual development. We can no longer allow the building of businesses and housing without the necessary roads to provide appropriate ingress and egress with minimal impact to traffic flows. Forcing the infrastructure to be included along with fees necessary to support the building will ensure appropriate resources are available to include but not limited to Law Enforcement and Fire Department personnel, adequate number of and quality schools, sewer and water resource availabilities. 

CONSUMER PRICES, GAS PRICES, AND HOUSING COSTS ARE HISTORICALLY HIGH, WHILE WAGES HAVE NOT KEPT PACE IN NEVADA. WHAT IS YOUR PLAN TO HELP WASHOE COUNTY CITIZENS WHO ARE STRUGGLING FINANCIALLY?

The Office of Clerk will continue to evaluate the costs associated with marriage licenses, marriage officiants, business DBA, Notary Public, Passport fees, and other activities to ensure fees are appropriate. 

WHERE DO YOU STAND ON THE RAPID DEVELOPMENT OF AI, AND THE PROLIFERATION OF DATA CENTERS? WHAT ROLE DO YOU SEE WASHOE COUNTY TAKING IN EACH?

AI is not something that is going to go away. Data centers need to be reviewed to ensure they are supplying the necessary infrastructure for the County to be able to supply services impacted by their development. While AI is a tool that can assist Washoe County in supporting the needs of the citizens, it needs to be appropriately managed and monitored. Human verification is necessary to ensure the information supplied by the AI is accurate. A policy of "trust but verify" needs to be implemented.

I have spent my entire adult life being a servant of the community and strongly desire to continue that service to ensure that the government of Washoe County works for the citizens.
