Heat Advisories are up for northwestern Nevada as a result. They go from 11am Saturday through 11am Wednesday. Last year Reno had a ten day stretch of 100 degree weather, which is the longest on record at the airport.

The summer is not the only time heat stroke can occur in a car. According to the National Weather Service, over 900 children lost their lives in cars because of the heat since 1998. Leaving your wallet or an important bag in the back where your child is can help you remember to not leave your child in the car. You can also leave a stuffed animal in the front seat as a reminder. Make sure to always lock your door as well, since a child can climb in and get stuck.
