Reno Fire Department appointed John Beck as the new Fire Marshal.
Fire Marshal Beck began his career with Reno Fire as a firefighter in 2007, he currently oversees the Reno Fire Prevention Bureau.
Fire Marshal Beck has served many roles throughout his career with Reno Fire such as firefighter, fire investigator and the supervisor of the fire plan review team. He also served as a SEAL in the United States Navy for 23 years.
“I am honored and excited to lead an energized and dedicated team at the Reno Fire Prevention Bureau,” said Fire Marshal Beck. “Life safety and fire prevention are critical missions within the Reno Fire Department, and I look forward to promoting education and community participation within the fire department’s mission.”
