Instead of a miracle March, it’s feeling like spring this weekend in Northern Nevada. High pressure will be the main player, allowing for a gradual warming trend. Reno has multiple chances of reaching 70 degrees over the next week thanks to high pressure.
The ridge weakens on Tuesday but then fills back in the next day. Even if the 70 degree weather eludes us on Sunday, there is a better chance on Monday and the latter half of the upcoming work week. 69 degrees is the warmest day yet of 2026 in Reno.Â
March 10th is typically the first day Reno sees its first 70 degree day after the winter cold. Records are taken at the airport which is usually the warmest spot in the Truckee Meadows. Places like the North Valleys and Arrowcreek are typically a few degrees cooler than Reno.Â

Fernley and Fallon can be warmer or colder depending on the location of the warm air mass. Reno has a 65% chance of reaching 70 degrees on Sunday and a 90% chance on Monday. 70 degree weather is likely in Carson City next week, but the odds are slightly lower than Reno.Â
