Three people have been arrested following an assault with a firearm at the Susanville Indian Rancheria Joaquin Memorial Gym.

According to a release from the Office of the Tribal Administrator published on Facebook the incident happened around 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13th.

A caller to 911 said two people entered the gym and were pointing a handgun at those inside.

A description of a suspect car was broadcast to all units while Susanville Police were heading to the scene.

The suspected car was found and stopped and four suspects were found inside.

One passenger fled from the car and three remaining suspects were detained according to the release.

A search of the car turned up two guns, a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol and a .38 caliber revolver.

Police located and arrested the suspect who ran, identified as Daniel Merino-Valadez. He was cited for obstruction/delaying/resisting a peace officer.

One of the victims who had the gun pointed at them was able to positively identify the car, as well as two occupants as being responsible for the incident.

Noah Del Llano was arrested for assault with a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle, and conspiracy to commit a crime.

Kyjuan Castro was arrested for conspiracy to commit a crime and carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle.
