This weekend, May 11 and May 12, V&T Railway Commission is offering historic train rides for Mother's Day.
The train makes a 24-mile round trip between Carson City and Virginia City.
The tour takes place on a 1914 Pullman coach led by a 1916 Baldwin 2-8-0 steam train. There is narration with historical facts and stories.
Free coffee, mimosas and pastries will be available to passengers on board.Â
To celebrate Mother's Day, every mother on board will also receive a special gift.
The ride includes a three and a half hour stop in Virginia City, where you can visit restaurants, shops, museums and more.

Adult tickets for ages 16 and up are $65, and tickets for children ages two to 15 are $45.
