The Washoe County Sheriff's Office Homeless Outreach Proactive Engagement (HOPE) Team came to the aid of a man who had been camping at the intersection of Veterans Parkway and Pembroke Drive recently.
The man had encountered difficulty getting into Safe Camp because his dog needed to be neutered before he could move in, the Sheriff's Office said in a thread on X.
The HOPE Team found a local veterinarian to schedule the surgery and helped the man get an ID at the DMV.
The Sheriff's Office invited people at the close of their thread to stay tuned for updates with this man and updates on others being helped by their HOPES Team.
