UPDATE: NV Energy says the number of customers without power is now at 5,254.
The estimated time for restoration has been bumped up to 1 a.m. on Christmas Day.
NV Energy reports an outage has left nearly 9,000 customers without power on Christmas Eve.
They said 8,829 residents in the Incline Village area are without power.
They said the outage was reported around 6:57 p.m. They estimated time to restore power is 11 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
They said the cause was damage to NV Energy equipment.
