Kristen Remington: This Sunday, people with disabilities, along with family and friends can have some outdoor fun at the city of Sparks Adventure Day.
The free event will include hand-cycling, kayaking, sailing and an adaptive rock climbing wall. What makes this event unique is the specialized equipment designed to accommodate a variety of disabilities.
Mark Wellman who is a two time para-olympian and lifelong climber, will also be on hand for the 11th annual event. He along with volunteers from the city of Reno and Sierra Nevada Community Sailing will be guiding participants through all the featured activities.

Remington: Organizers say all ages and abilities are encouraged to come out and try the activities. They also say close toed shoes are required.
