Central Lyon says a wildfire north of Highway 50 in Silver Springs is fully contained at 314 acres.
The Piper Fire started just before 2:45 p.m. on Friday and briefly threatened about eight structures before crews got a handle on the fire.
Central Lyon says the cause of the fire is "firearms-related" and started near Piper Ranch.
Sierra Front said multiple agencies responded to the scene.
No injuries were reported.
