The Forest Service is scheduled to conduct a prescribed burn near the Prosser Hill area on Tuesday.
Smoke may be visible in the areas of Klondike Flats, Tahoe Donner, Prosser Lakeview/Heights and along portions of Highway 89 North. The burn is scheduled to start around 11 a.m. (weather permitting.)
A portion of Prosser Hill OHV may be closed due to prescribed burns.
A Tahoe National Forest representative says smoke will normally sink into lower elevations at night and rise out of the area when daytime temperatures increase.
