The Washoe County District Attorney's Office says a judge has sentenced a Reno woman to the maximum of 20 years in prison in an attempted murder case.
28-year-old Megan Pedro will be eligible for parole in eight years.
Authorities say stabbed 26-year-old Elisha Mundell at a residence in Sparks last August. They say Pedro became jealous of Mundell's contact with another person and stabbed her numerous times in the neck and upper torso. Mundell later underwent emergency surgery to save her life.
Pedro suffered cuts to her hands during the fight.
