According to the Carson City School District, Carson High School was put onto a lockdown around 12:15 p.m. on Friday, May 3.

The Carson City School District will have an early release day for all schools on Wednesday, April 24th.

Carson High School English teacher Jason Macy has been named Nevada's 2023 Girls High School Cross Country Coach of the Year.

The Carson City Sheriff's Office (CCSO) determined threats of a "violent event" taking place at Carson High School on Wednesday are unsubstantiated.

This last semester, the foundation awarded $200 mini-grants as well as up to $2,000 grants for a department, school or grade-level project(s). 

With the assistance of some parents and educators, students learned life skills like cooking, place setting and cleaning.

Of the more than 300 students who auditioned, 157 were chosen to participate in the Honor Choir and 91 in the Honor Band.

This simple project transformed into a huge community partnership that strives to support schools and local organizations.
