The North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District responded to a vehicle fire Friday afternoon.

Documents with classified markings were discovered in former Vice President Mike Pence’s home last week, according to his attorney.

The fire completely damaged the residence and caused some damage to the neighboring structure.

There is no threat to the community and an investigation is underway.

Officials say no structures were threatened and no injuries were reported.

Bomb techs breached the pack and determined it did not contain hazardous items.

The female remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

The fire was reported on the 1700 Sagehen Lane around 9:50 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2022.
