Shohei Ohtani is taking a day off after appearing physically uncomfortable at the plate. Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts texted Ohtani after Wednesday's 8-6 loss to St. Louis, telling him he wouldn't start in the series finale. Ohtani had told trainers that his right biceps and neck were bothering him. Roberts says Ohtani's symptoms haven't improved, and while a stint on the injured list is unlikely, it isn't impossible. Ohtani's health is day to day, with his status for Friday's series opener against the Washington Nationals uncertain. The Dodgers want him healthy by October, when the playoffs start.
