5:30pm, Workout in Your PJs Red Carpet Event, Double Diamond Athletic Club
Double Diamond Athletic Club in Reno is holding a Workout in Your PJs Red Carpet event at 5:30pm to benefit the club's local pajama program chapter. The program provides new pajamas and new books to needy children. The national program to date has given away over 3 million pajamas and books. The event continues through the weekend. 7:30pm, Latin Dance Social, 5th Anniversary Party, EDGE Nightspot
Salsa Reno is holding a Latin dance social to celebrate five years of business! A lesson will start at 7:30 p.m. with a show at 9:30 p.m. and will feature Salsa World Champions Couture Dance Alliance. The show is for ages 21 and older and will be held inside the Peppermill Casino Resort.

8am, Reed High School Fundraiser
Reed High School Naval Junior ROTC Cadets are holding a car wash and rummage sale to raise money to represent Nevada and the USS Nevada in the Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade in Hawaii next December. Cadets need to raise $40,000 over the coming year for airfare, expenses and other associated costs. The event will be held at the Reed High parking lot at 1350 Baring Blvd. in Sparks.
9am, Secure Your ID Day, AT&T Parking Lot, Reno Â
If you have personal documents and don't know what to do with them, don't throw them away, shred them instead during the 7th Annual ‘Secure Your ID Day.' It's from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the AT&T administrative building at the corner of Plumb Lane and Yori Avenue in Reno. A person can bring up to three boxes/bags of documents.

10am, Carson City Ghost Walk
The annual Carson City Ghost Walk will be held from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. beginning on the corner of 3rd and Curry Street in Carson City. Explore and relive Carson City's rich history by learning about the Victorian Era through lingering spirits of the past, including visiting the inside of at least five different houses. Tours depart every half hour and last about 90-minutes. Ticket cost is $15 in advance and $20 the day of the event. 4th annual Ride 4 RAVE, The Resort at Red Hawk
Join the Northern Nevada R.A.V.E. Family Foundation for the 4th annual Ride 4 RAVE fundraiser at The Resort at Red Hawk. The event will offer a 5K Fun Run, 10 Mile Kids Bike Ride, 10 Mile Bike Ride, and 50 Mile Bike Ride. Proceeds benefit area families with young and adult children with special needs. 5pm, Great May Center Pumpkin Walk, Rancho San Rafael Regional Park
The Wilbur D. May Museum is holding a pumpkin walk at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park. This event attracts more than 1,000 visitors each year. The May Center will have 500 carved pumpkins on display. Kids are invited to wear costumes and trick-or-treat during the walk. Tickets are $5 per person.
6pm, 10th annual Black and White Ball, Silver Legacy
Abbacadabra, a local ABBA tribute band will perform for the first time in four years as part of the 10th annual Black and White Ball inside the Silver Legacy in downtown Reno. Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit area HIV/AIDS organizations.
7pm, Celebration of Nevada's 150th birthday, Festival of Diwali, Reno
A Celebration of Nevada's 150th Birthday and Festival of Diwali, will be held at 7 p.m. at the Laxalt Auditorium in Reno.
