GourMelt opened its new location this week after moving from Reno to Spanish Springs.

The new GourMelt is as the Sparks Crossing Center at Los Altos Parkway and Pyramid Way.

The owners say they were looking for a bigger space after moving from near the University of Nevada - and they're really impressed with how supportive the community has been over the years.

“As soon as we announced that we were coming here on Facebook it was just, like it almost went viral it was insane. So much traction I think we had 300 something shares and thousands of comments it was just amazing so we're really thankful,” says owner, Jessie Henderson.

GourMelt originally got its start as a food truck in 2011 before moving to a brick and mortar store in 2016.

The owners are also expanding their Two Chicks restaurant, which is in Midtown.

Their new location is opening near Meadowood Mall where the old Bangkok Cuisine used to be. That should be open in about six weeks.
