The latest diet trend entails going for long stretches without eating anything, but obesity experts say research so far suggests it may not be any better than other diets for weight loss.
Some experts say most people would find intermittent fasting too difficult. Everyone is different, though, and fasting may suit some looking to lose weight.
There are several ways to do it.
Some only eat during an 8-hour window. Others fast a couple days a week or eat one meal a day.
One expert says it’s just another way of tricking yourself into eating less.
