Six Flags Discovery Kingdom announced the debut of their two new baby reticulated giraffes at the park’s Giraffe Encounter exhibit on New Year's Day.
The Park says Chich is the larger of the two giraffes, weighing in at about 800 pounds. Oz on the other hand is weighing in at about 500 pounds.
They say both male giraffes will eventually grow to as much as 4,200 pounds.
Discovery Kingdom says park guests will be able to watch the two baby giraffes explore and play in their new exhibit space, which is undergoing renovations early in the new year.
The Park says each of the giraffes will play an important role in education at Discovery Kingdom to promote conservation as ambassadors for their counterparts in the wild for the millions of guests that visit the park annually.
