The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man who died following a motorcycle crash on South Virginia Street in Reno last Thursday. 

The ME's Office says 24-year-old Anthony Barrera, of Reno, was pronounced dead on scene. 

The cause and manner of death are pending investigation.

Officials said multiple witnesses said the motorcycle was driving at a high rate of speed prior to the crash. NHP says the motorcycle was going southbound on Virginia, and the SUV was turning left to go northbound when the crash happened.

NHP said the female driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
