The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man who died following a crash in Gerlach on Sunday.Â
The ME's Office says 61-year-old Lonnie Richey, of Carson City, died at the scene.Â
The cause and manner of death are pending investigation.
The Washoe County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) reported the fatal crash at CR-34 and SR-447 after 12 p.m.
WCSO says a pickup with one person in it was going southbound on CR-34 when they crossed the double yellow lines, hitting an RV with two people in it going northbound.
They say the driver of the pickup died on scene.
WCSO says the two people in the RV were treated on scene for minor injuries.
Truckee Meadows Fire Protection Disctrict (TMFPD) says fire and rescue crews responded to the crash as well.
WCSO says cause of the accident is under investigation.
They say fatigue appears to be a factor, drugs or alcohol do not.
Washoe County Sheriff's Office tweeted these details about the crash:
