Special Weather Statement and Road Conditions

Nevada Department of Transportation reports that chains or snow tires are required on McCarran Boulevard in both directions. 

The California Department of Transportation is reporting that Interstate 80 from the Nevada State Line to Colfax has reopened.

Traffic is moving in the area. 

Chain controls remain up for I-80 west of Robb Drive. Chains or snow tires are required in the area.

On I-580, chains or snow tires are required between Winter's Ranch and College Parkway in both directions. Controls are expected to end at 10 a.m.

There is also a high wind alert from Eastlake Boulevard to Mount Rose highway. Vehicles over 9 feet should use caution in the area. 

Both lanes are blocked on US-50 in both directions at Cave Rock. Expect driving delays. 

On SR-267, NHP says chain controls are required on all vehicles except those with 4-wheel drive or snow tires from North Shore to Truckee.Â
